💭 What To Watch For

- Big Tech earnings.
The handful of companies that basically are the market report over the next two weeks. That's the real test of a market leaning this hard on so few names.
- Market breadth.
Watch whether more stocks start joining the rally, or whether it stays propped up by the giants. Broad is healthy. Narrow is fragile.
- Equal-weight vs. the regular S&P.
One simple tell: if the "equal-weight" version of the index keeps lagging the normal one, the concentration is still doing the work. A catch-up would be a healthier sign.
- The Fed on July 29.
Rates sit at 3.50% to 3.75%. Higher-for-longer presses hardest on the priciest names, which are exactly the ones holding up the index.
💭 Today’s Final Thought
Record highs feel like safety.
Right now, they may be the opposite.
The market has folded itself into a handful of names, and most people own them without realizing how concentrated they've become.
Tan's point is the one to carry: the goal isn't to guess which giant wins next. It's to build something that doesn't depend on any single one.
The whole crowd is standing on the same square.
Spread out before the music stops.
See you soon.
