A few years ago, Solana was in Washington's regulatory crosshairs. Now the chairman of the SEC is about to take the closing stage at a Solana summit in the capital.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins will deliver the closing keynote at Solana Summit Washington DC on September 14. The same event brings together SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce, Sen. Cynthia Lummis, Rep. Tom Emmer, the White House, Charles Schwab and T. Rowe Price.

That is a very different backdrop for Solana. Regulators, lawmakers and major financial firms are now gathering at an event built around the network and its role in modern finance.

Atkins has also pushed the SEC toward clearer rules this year. In August, he said the agency was developing fit-for-purpose exemptions for digital asset markets and continued to support the CLARITY Act.

It is not an endorsement of SOL, but the shift in tone is difficult to miss. With the token hovering around $100, the timing is especially interesting.

Solana Price Prediction: Can SOL Break $150 Next?

SOL is trading near $100 after breaking out of the falling wedge highlighted in our previous Solana price prediction. The breakout remains intact despite the latest pullback.

RSI is around 55, showing momentum has cooled without turning weak. That leaves room for buyers to return without SOL looking overheated.

The first major upside test is around $150. A clean breakout there could open $200, followed by the previous major high near $250.

If SOL rolls over instead, the strongest support on this chart sits around $70 to $75. For now, the setup remains intact while price holds above the old falling-wedge structure.

Washington's friendlier tone removes one source of uncertainty, but the chart still has work to do. Turning $100 into support and clearing $145 would make the larger targets much more convincing.
