Bitcoin is back above $80,000, and one of crypto’s best-known market analytics firms now says the bear market may be over.

CryptoQuant, which tracks blockchain activity and market data, says Bitcoin has entered the early stage of a new bull market after rebounding 24% from its August 17 low.

Its Bull Score has jumped from 30 to 80 in a week, with eight of its 10 indicators now flashing bullish.

But CryptoQuant says there is still one major hurdle standing between Bitcoin and a confirmed new bull market.

With BTC already back above $80,000, that test is now close enough to matter.

The chart below shows what Bitcoin needs to do next, and how far the price could run if it clears it.

Bitcoin Price Prediction: Can BTC Break $83,000 and Confirm the Bull Market?

BTC has now successfully broken above the long-term descending trendline and reclaimed the $80,000 area.

It has also followed through on the symmetrical triangle we highlighted in our previous Bitcoin price prediction, and is now moving toward the $82,000 target we identified before the breakout.

The updated chart also shows Bitcoin trading above both moving averages plotted near $66,500 and $69,300.

CryptoQuant’s key confirmation level is the 365-day moving average near $83,000.

A convincing close above it would strengthen the case that Bitcoin has genuinely shifted into a new bull-market regime with $100,000 as the next major target.

The warning is RSI, which is above 82 and signals heavily overbought conditions. A failed breakout could send BTC back toward the moving-average zone, while the larger support level remains around $60,000.

So, has a new Bitcoin bull market started? The evidence increasingly points to yes, but a decisive close above $83,000 would be the clearest confirmation yet.

If Bitcoin Is Entering a New Bull Market, Where Could Capital Move Next?

Bitcoin’s rebound shows how quickly money can move once investors believe the conditions are changing.

But the biggest opportunities may not come from chasing Bitcoin after the market has already turned bullish.

They could come from identifying the technologies and investment themes attracting capital before the shift becomes obvious.

That’s why we created The $5 Trillion Signal.

It’s a completely free, beginner-friendly briefing that takes only a few minutes to read and explores five technologies we believe could reshape the global economy, including AI, robotics, energy, biotech and blockchain, plus the investment themes positioned to benefit.
