How it works

The European Investment Fund (EIF) has partnered with Future Finance to offer loans to European Masters level students moving to or from the UK for their studies. You can borrow up to £9,300 for courses up to 12 months and if your course is longer than 12 months you may be able to increase that amount, up to £13,900. Interest rates will be 7.5% (var). Repayments are over 6 to 10 years, starting one year after you’ve completed your course. You can also take a 12-month repayment break during that time, and you can repay earlier if you wish without penalty or early repayment fees.

Who can apply

To qualify for the Erasmus+ Masters loan you will need to have obtained your bachelors or undergraduate degree in a country other than the country you are moving to for your Masters’ level course (or have moved in the last 3 months) for the purposes of studying the Masters’ level course (ECTS range 60 – 120). To meet the criteria you’ll also have to be studying at one of the selected Erasmus+ universities and have no other loans supported by the Erasmus+ Masters programme.
